Larus argentatus argentatus/argenteus?

Above: 1st summer moulting to 1st winter/2nd calendar year (Essex, 27 November 2010)

Urgh! The lack of dark pigmentation has softened the bill and feathers on what looks like a second winter (second calendar year) bird. Reminiscent of a Sheathbill!
