Larus michahellis x fuscus?

Above: 4th winter/4th calendar year (Essex, 24 September 2011)

This individual was significantly darker than the accompanying Yellow-legged Gulls, yet obviously paler than the graellsii Lesser Black-backs. It also rather slimly proportioned, including the smallish bill.
