Socotra Cormorant
Phalacrocorax nigrogularis
One of the ornithological spectacles of the Middle East is the mass feeding frenzy of large flocks of Socotra Cormorant. After half-an-hour of feeding activity, this flock took to the sand bar to rest and dry off. In the top image, I have managed to capture less than half of the flock!
