Grey Francolin
Francolinus pondicerianus

(Above) Doha Golf Course, Qatar, 06 November 2012 (EOS 7D, 300mm f2.8 + 2x Extender)

Nailed it! Just.

They're common enough, but fly like the devil when disturbed. Grey Francolin has been introduced to many parts of the world as a versatile and adaptive game bird. But they're so hard to shoot at because of their extreme wariness and explosive flight that the hunters quickly give up on them. The same shyness and explosive escape response makes them very hard to photograph - in my humble opinion.
