South Caspian (Byzantine) Stonechat
Saxicola maurus armenicus
(NB. revised to Saxicola maurus variegatus Ehrenberg as proposed by Svensson, Shirihai, Frahnert & Dickinson 2012)

(Above) Umm Bab, Qatar, 27 March 2013 (EOS 7D, 300mm f2.8 + 2x Extender)

Note the almost solid brick red chest colouration and the obvious white bases to the outer tail feathers (beyond the white outer tail coverts). The white bases to the outer tail do not extend far enough down the tail (i.e. well over half-way towards the end of the tail) to suggest North Caspian Stonechat.
