Pied Wheatear
Oenanthe pleschanke

(Above) Irkayya Farm, Qatar, 19 February 2013 (EOS 7D, 300mm f2.8 + 2x Extender)

These gorgeous beasts are returning in good numbers. Although it is easy to overlook them as they become more and more common (now passage has restarted), care is required to ensure nothing rarer is over-looked. There are plenty of essentially black and white Wheatears possible in the region.
