Poor images of a very skittish bird.

As with all these large (and sometimes not so large) dark Whitethroats, identification as Hume's is purely tentative - in the hope this might attract some debate and more expert input. Other than nominate Hume's (S. althaea) and its smaller sibling S. (a.) caucasica, there is always the strong possibility of these birds being from the wide-ranging halimodendri clade.
